Champions League, matchday 6: The starting position in Leipzig Group H
It’s tricky in Group H. The ranks one to three are in this order: Manchester United , Paris St. Germain and RB Leipzig. All three teams have nine points.
RB Leipzig is currently slightly at a disadvantage, as the bulls are behind in the direct comparisons or have lost them. PSG are ahead thanks to the away goal in Saxony in the first leg (2-1) and a 1-0 win in the second leg, Manchester won the first leg against Leipzig 5-0.
How do the teams get on now?
Manchester United : The Red Devils lost the direct comparison against PSG, but thanks to the clear success in the first leg against RB they continue with a draw or a win. Today they need more points than PSG to win the group.
PSG : The Parisians have the best starting position, they have won the direct comparisons against ManUnited and Leipzig and also play against Basaksehir, who have already been eliminated. Only in the event of a defeat of their own and a tie between RB and Manchester will the Tuchel troop be eliminated. A draw could be enough for group victory if the parallel game also ends in a draw, PSG are sure to be first with a win.
RB Leipzig : It has to be a victory. If the Saxons win, they are on. Whether first or second would be in the hands of PSG, RB would need more points than the French.
