Meanwhile, quote Al-Jazeera, more than 700 Palestinians have been killed in the past 24 hours in Gaza. This brings a total of 15,523 Palestinians to have been killed since the start of the war, including 316 killed and 664 injured “in the last few hours”.
According to the UN humanitarian agency, OCHA, an estimated 1.8 million people are internally displaced, up from the previous figure of 1.7 million. Images show Palestinians trying to leave parts of the Khan Younis area in line with Israeli demands to evacuate.
Israel itself has been strongly criticized by humanitarian organizations and some politicians for its piecemeal evacuation plans. According to them, this means that Palestinians have fewer places to flee, while Gaza’s infrastructure is at a critical point.
