JERUSALEM – Military Israel said its fighter jets attacked a compound believed to belong to the militant group Hamas from Gaza Strip . The attack was launched after clashes on the border.

According to media reports, an explosion was heard in the Salah al-Din area, in the central Gaza Strip on Saturday.

The Israel Defense Forces (IDF) revealed that the fighter jet attacked what it described as a Hamas terrorist compound in response to what it claimed were incendiary balloon launches from the Gaza Strip towards Israeli territory, as well as violent unrest at the border.

“Tonight, fighter jets struck a Hamas terrorist compound, which is used for training and weapons production, and a terrorist tunnel near Jabalya was attacked,” the Israeli military said in a statement. Sputnik, Sunday (29/8/2021).
