Israeli Attacks in Gaza Strip: At Least 22 Lives Claimed – Al Jazeera Reports

Israeli attacks last night claimed at least 22 lives on Rafah and Khan Younis in the Gaza Strip. Al Jazeera reports this. Israel has not yet responded and the reporting cannot currently be independently verified.

Most of them are said to have been killed in a bombardment of Rafah, in the south of the Gaza Strip, near the border with Egypt. Medical sources on the ground told the news channel that at least twenty people were killed in an Israeli attack.

Seven of them are children. Three houses are said to have been destroyed and other victims may be trapped under the rubble. Two people are said to have been killed in an attack on Khan Younis, also in the south of the Gaza Strip.

Earlier this morning, the Palestinian Health Ministry said four people were killed in an Israeli drone strike on the West Bank city of Jenin. Army vehicles are also said to have entered the city. The Israeli army has attacked the city, home to a large refugee camp, several times in recent months.
