Israel is the first country in the world to declare a second lockdown

Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu has announced that his administration is re-tightening since Friday due to the spread of the coronavirus. It is the first country in the world to take such a step.

The second lockdown in Israel starts on Friday to prevent the spread of the coronavirus pandemic. Restrictions are put in place when the Israelis start their holidays.

Everyone will be able to move only in the area of their home, within a radius of 500 meters. This does not apply to travel to work.

Schools, malls, restaurants and hotels will be closed and supermarkets and pharmacies will remain open. Public administration will operate with fewer stationary people. Offices and private companies will be closed to clients.

Indoor meetings will be limited to 10 people. Outside, a maximum of 20 people can meet in one place. We know that these measures will require a high price from us. This holiday will not be what we are used to. We will not be able to celebrate with our larger families – said Netanyahu in a TV message.
