Is the Czechia heading for release? See where PES is best, where worst

People may go to the pub for a beer again next week. And parents buy their children winter clothes right in the shops. The Czech Republic is aiming to declare a lower level of epidemic alert.

On Monday, for the first time since October 6, the daily risk index fell to level three. And he stayed there on Tuesdays, Wednesdays and Thursdays. At the same time, the Minister of Health Jan Blatný has repeatedly stated in recent days that, with the continued favorable development, the government could officially announce a relaxation of measures against the spread of covid from the beginning of next week.

Switching to the third level of alert would mean, in addition to the opening of restaurants and more shops, also, for example, the end of the night curfew.

Purple a month ago

On this occasion, the daily analyzed the daily development of the risk index since the beginning of October. Both in the whole Czech Republic and in individual regions and districts.

The data show that the worst situation prevailed in the country less than a month ago, namely on October 27 and 28, when the risk index in the whole of the Czech Republic climbed to its current highest value, namely 89 points out of a maximum of 100.

On the 27th of October, all regions and districts also turned purple. Their risk indices, without exception, corresponded to the highest, ie the fifth degree.

According to calculations by the Ministry of Health, seven districts even reached the maximum possible value of the index in the second half of October, a hundred. It was mainly a part of the Pilsen region.

Towards orange

On Thursday, on the other hand, the Moravian-Silesian Region and Prague were only in the third, ie orange level of the risk index. At the district level, seventeen regions turned orange and had the best score with 42 points in Prague-West.

On Tuesday, Central Bohemia and the Liberec Region were also in the third stage. However, on Wednesday, they again jumped to the fourth, ie red level of risk.

The Minister of the Interior, Jan Hamáček, therefore stated after the meeting of the crisis staff that even for this reason, Monday’s transfer of the Czech Republic to the third degree of anti-epidemic alert is still not 100% certain.
