Islamic Republic Iran caution Israel and the international community if the Zionist state continues to attack the Gaza Strip.

This message was conveyed by the representative of the Iranian mission at the UN, via a tweet on X, Sunday (15/10). In the tweet, Iran warned the UN and Security Council to immediately act decisively.

“If the war crimes and genocide in Apartheid Israel are not immediately stopped, this situation could spiral out of control and have wider consequences,” the tweet said, as reported by Al Jazeera.

“Responsibility in this regard lies with the UN, the Security Council and the countries that helped lead the Security Council towards a dead end,” Iran stressed.

In a separate statement, Iranian Foreign Minister Hossein Amir-Abdollahian also told the press in Lebanon that Israel should immediately “stop before it is too late”, as reported by Al Jazeera.

According to a Reuters report, Sunday (15/10), Israel is preparing to launch a land attack against Hamas in the Gaza Strip, after giving an ultimatum to local Palestinian residents to immediately flee to the southern region near the Egyptian border.

In a previous statement, Israel had vowed to destroy Hamas in response to attacks carried out by the militant group since last Saturday (7/10).

At that time, Hamas invaded Israeli territory in the West Bank, killing more than 1,300 people and taking dozens of hostages.

In response to this, Israel has launched intense attacks on the Gaza area via air and ground attacks. This situation has made Gaza, which is inhabited by around 2.3 million Palestinians, completely surrounded.

Reuters noted that Gaza authorities reported that more than 2,200 people had died as victims of the war.

On the one hand, Iran’s supreme leader, Ayatollah Ali Khamenei, expressed his view at X on Saturday (14/10) that all the people of Muslim countries are obliged to support the Palestinian people.

Through his next tweet, Khamenei also believes that the situation currently occurring in the West Bank will bring victory for the Palestinian people.

“In the name of God, the movement that has taken place in Palestine will continue to progress and end in victory for the Palestinian people,” Khamenei wrote in X.

“Everyone living in the Muslim world is obliged to support the Palestinian people,” Khamenei said in a subsequent tweet.

Even so, Khamenei on Tuesday (10/10) denied that Iran was involved in the attack launched by the Hamas militia on Israel.

“Supporters of the Zionist regime (Israel) and some people in the usurper regime have been spreading rumors for the last two or three days, including that Iran is behind these actions. They are wrong,” Khamenei said during a speech at the military academy, as quoted by AFP , Tuesday (10/10).

In a speech broadcast on Iranian television, Khamenei also emphasized that he was not involved in the Hamas attack.

Even so, he praised the Hamas attack for successfully damaging Israel’s military and intelligence services “beyond repair.”

Meanwhile, the UN peace envoy for the Middle East, Tor Wennesland, met with Iranian Foreign Minister Hossein Amir-Abdollahian, in Beirut, Lebanon on Saturday (14/10), as reported by Reuters via an official UN statement.

According to reports Al Jazeera TVAbdollahian then continued his journey to Qatar to meet with the leader of Hamas, Ismail Haniyeh.

“All (Wennesland’s) meetings aim to discuss diplomatic efforts to free hostages, secure humanitarian access, and prevent the conflict from spreading to the wider region. This includes the latest meeting in Lebanon,” said UN spokesman Stephane Dujarric regarding Wennesland’s meeting with Abdollahian.
