9to5Mac recently uncovered some interesting information in Apple’s second beta, iOS 16.2. Specifically, it would be a new “custom accessibility mode” for iOS. In other words, this new mode will allow you to change different elements on the home page of your iPhone or iPad.
Screenshots taken by 9to5Mac reveal that this custom accessibility mode will, among other things, simplify the user interface in the Messages app, enlarge app icons, and even have a back button.

For information, this isn’t the first time Apple has been working on useful accessibility features for iOS. Furthermore, the smartphone manufacturer has already created many. 9to5Mac has reportedly discovered this latest “under the hood” mode of the second beta of iOS 16.2.
Selon 9to5Mac, ” users will be able to set things like UI and larger text, apps available on the home screen, contacts allowed, and access to hardware buttons when custom accessibility mode is enabled “.
No reaction from Apple for the moment
However, Apple has not yet confirmed or denied the existence of this personalized accessibility mode. It is also unknown whether iPhone and iPad users will actually be able to enjoy this new feature during the beta update. In any case, if Apple decides to launch, it may take some time before this new mode is available to all users.
