Extremely unpleasant experience for Ion Cristoiu. The little journalist complained about discrimination in a restaurant, after the waiter there refused to offer him a child’s seat, so that he could also serve the meal in optimal conditions.

“They only gave me a normal chair, for big people”, complained Ion Cristoiu. “I was reaching the plate with my hands, but I couldn’t see into the plate. And if I wanted salt or pepper, I had to stand up on the chair. A prank by the restaurant.”

The journalist also complained that he was forced to go to the bathroom alone. “This despite the fact that I had expressly asked to be accompanied by a waiter, who would help me with what I had to do there, but they refused me for no reason,” he said.

Ion Cristoiu says he will file a complaint with the CNCD. “It was clearly discrimination, because I saw the children’s seats at other tables. I don’t know what they did with me, if they didn’t give me the seat. Restaurants like this should be shut down until they learn to respect their customers like me.”
