For the ninth time, Latvia is participating in the European Film Academy (ESA) Youth Prize, during which young people in more than 30 countries watch three films nominated for the prize and vote for the best – the winner of the ESA Youth Prize 2021. While cinemas have been closed in many places due to the pandemic, the work of the jury has been taking place online for the second year in a row, thus young people from other Latvian cities, not only from Riga, can also apply to the jury.

As last year, the members of the jury will be able to watch the nominated films with Latvian subtitles individually online from April 21 to 24. On Sunday, April 25, jury members will also be able to discuss the nominated films online with director Stanislav Tokalov, vote for their favorite and communicate with jury members from other member states (38 in total this year).
