Recently, a new world record was set in Super Mario Bros. which is always exciting. The previous record was 4: 55.646 and was set by speedrunner Kosmic. The new record was set by Niftski and is at 4: 54.948, a time that has previously only been achieved by bots.
Niftski managed to break the dream boundary and end up under 4:55 through a glitch trick for the flagpole on track 8-1. You can see the entire playback in the clip above.
