A few days ago we mentioned the debut on Radio of the former bassist of the Steepwater Band and currently with Davy Knowles. They have recently recorded a new album that should be out later this year!

Now it’s your turn to tell us something about your favorite albums throughout your life. Hopefully you will be encouraged to hear it on your Rock and Roll Stew program.

What is your first album purchased?

I think the first album I bought with my own money was Michael Jackson’s Thriller.

How and where?

I remember catching him at Kmart stores, he was a kid. I still see in my memory Van Halen’s album 1984, that day. In those days it seemed a bad thing to me, that boy smoking a cigarette. I think I used the pay my parents gave me, I was still a kid.

I remember getting it at a Kmart, when I was a kid. I can also visually remember seeing the Van Halen 1984 album cover that day as well. At the time that album cover seemed bad, a baby smoking a cigarette. Haha. I think I used an allowance from my parents, I was still fairly young.

What album is your “Guilty Pleasure”?

The Star Wars soundtrack.

Vinyl or CD?

Definitely Vinyl. I don’t remember the last CD I bought. I enjoy the convenience of digital downloads, but nothing is more satisfying than spinning a record.

What is the record you have heard the most during the pandemic, or to resist confinement?

I was very into the Curtis Mayfield record Curtis. It’s really nice.

  • Black Crowes The Southern Harmony and Musical Companion – I recently just bought an original LP from a seller in Valencia, Spain. I love that album but that pressings origin is also special to me.
