The 5th day of the French championships, in Chartres, was stopped shortly after 10:30 am, this Saturday, following the discovery of a technical problem on the arrival platform.
Notched wheels, located at the end of the quay, were damaged, letting the finish wall drift a few tens of centimeters. The damage was allegedly caused by tight water lines. The pool no longer measuring the regulatory 50 m, the competition was suspended for the rest of the morning.

Only three of the six series scheduled in the morning program were able to compete. The national technical director, Julien Issoulié explains:
“We stopped the competition to find a solution. There is one side of the pelvis where it is perfectly aligned and on the other it is 20 to 30 centimeters missing. “

The program under development
After technicians intervened, a repair solution was quickly found. Reinforcement bindings have been installed and the competition will resume this Saturday afternoon, according to a program under development.
