It was attended by the President of the International Union of Resistance Scholars, Sheikh Maher Hammoud, Chairman of the Board of Trustees of the Gathering. The following statement was issued from the meeting: “This year marks the 48th anniversary of Earth Day, and the signs of the fulfillment of the divine promise of the demise of the Zionist entity have become closer than ever before, after the seventh of last October, in light of the steadfastness and bravery of the resistance and the people in Gaza, Hashem.”
He continued: “After the failure of the conspiracies hatched by the United States of America, the Zionist entity, and some affiliated Arab regimes against the heroic Palestinian people, scholars call for seizing the precious opportunity provided by the Palestinian people today in their steadfastness and resistance united against the Zionist enemy, in a clear message of the necessity of close ranks and unify.” Word”.
He considered that “the resistance that united the arenas is still the one that imposes its equations, and is the one that creates and manages events in the region, despite the harshness of the scene in the Gaza Strip, at a time when the arena within the temporary Zionist entity is becoming increasingly divided and fragmented.”
He renewed “adherence to resistance options, as the only option to liberate the land and restore rights and sanctities in occupied Palestine, and adherence to Palestinian constants, especially the right of return.”
He stressed that “Jerusalem will remain the focus of the conflict with the Zionist enemy, and the symbol of the nation’s unity, and lives and souls will be harmed without it, and the crimes of the occupation will not succeed in implementing the enemy’s plans for Judaization and division.”
He called for “commemorating International Jerusalem Day, in order to recall the status of Palestine and the crown jewel of the city of Jerusalem in the hearts of the nation, and to remember the nation’s duty towards its primary cause, and to defend it by all means, and in all political, diplomatic, legal, media and popular forums.”
The scholars paid “tribute to the resistance fighters in Palestine, Lebanon, Iraq and Yemen, who united the arenas and raised the nation’s standing high with their jihad and steadfastness. The scholars also appreciate the roles played by the sons of the Arab and Islamic nation and the free people of the world, led by the Islamic Republic of Iran, Yemen, Algeria, Iraq, Lebanon, South Africa and other countries.” Latin America, and everyone who stands with Jerusalem and the blessed Al-Aqsa Mosque, and supports and vindicates the resisting Palestinian people by all means.”
The meeting condemned “the deafening silence of the leaders of the Arab and Islamic world, their conspiracy and weakness, and their inability to take a unified position to stop the genocidal war and the bloody massacres of the criminal Zionist enemy against children, women, the elderly, paramedics, journalists, hospitals, homes, mosques, churches, people, and quarantine in Gaza.”
