Reliance Industries Limited Chairman Mukesh Ambani and his wife and IOC member Nita Ambani welcomed International Olympic Committee President Thomas Bach in Indian style. Arriving as a guest at Ambani’s residence, Bach was received by Aarti Uzhyan and Tilak Charthi.
The 141st Session of the Olympic Committee (IOC) will be held in Mumbai from October 15 to 17. Prior to this, Olympic Committee President Thomas Bach arrived in Mumbai.

The IOC session is being held in India after a gap of 40 years. The IOC session deliberates and makes decisions on the major functions of the Olympic Movement, including the adoption or amendment of the Olympic Charter, the election of IOC members and officers, and the selection of the host city for the Olympics.

Nita Ambani is the first Indian woman to be elected as a member of the IOC. Nita Ambani has been a member of the IOC in India since 2016. The IOC has 99 voting members and 43 honorary members in session. More than 600 members of the sporting world and global media from over 100 countries representing more than 50 sports are expected to arrive in Mumbai.
The session will be held at the Jio World Convention Center in Mumbai. The inaugural function will be held at the Grand Theater of the Nita Mukesh Ambani Cultural Center (NMACC). The exhibition hall will be the venue for the session meeting.
