Only 12 percent. of the respondents is of the opinion that the most important person in the state should receive a special retirement benefit upon termination of his / her function. 4 percent respondents have no opinion on this matter.

In addition, former presidents and their families can count on health benefits, and the closest heads of state, after his death, can receive a survivor’s pension.

Former presidents can also use the standard benefits from ZUS, which every citizen is entitled to. They include the so-called the thirteenth pensions from the Retirement Plus program, numerous discounts and access to cheaper drugs, and above all, the standard pension from ZUS, which is valued every year.
