Inmate dies electrocuted in Ambush prison

Kindness – Last Minute

The 6th Police Station of Emboscada intervened in a case of electrocution, which occurred this Tuesday, inside one of the pavilions in cell 18, in the New Regional Penitentiary of Emboscada Padre Juan Antonio de la Vega.

The fatal victim was identified as Agustín Damián Domenech Espínola, 34, known as “Crislin”, a native of San Lorenzo, Central Department. He had been in prison since December 16 of last year for family violence.

Tomás Bolaños, director of the Penitentiary, said that the inmate was cleaning when he had slight contact with a precarious electrical connection, which is why he had a shock that caused his death.

The forensic doctor Araceli Ojeda diagnosed as the cause of death “electrocution by electric shock.” The body was handed over to the person in charge of the prison, for its subsequent delivery to the relatives by fiscal order.
