The information campaign to vaccinate people against the corona virus is being adjusted so that more people are reached. Outgoing Minister Hugo de Jonge (CDA) of Public Health announced this on Wednesday evening.

According to De Jonge, it has turned out that certain groups doubt more than others whether they want to be vaccinated. These are low-literate people, people with a migration background and the homeless. To reach them there will be flyers in different languages, there will be short films that can be played in waiting rooms at GPs and hospitals and will be used at information meetings in local communities. At the end of this week, so-called ‘key persons’ will start setting up information meetings in communities of which they are a part.

The purpose of the adjustment in the campaign is to help more people in their choice. “Whenever someone chooses to be vaccinated, he or she not only protects himself or herself, but also the people around him,” De Jonge reports.
