PT Kereta Api Indonesia (KAI) Persero’s director of trade, Hadis Surya Palapa, said the scenic train will be launched in the near future, that is, in the next one or two months.

“We don’t want to be in a hurry, but afterwards the results won’t be optimal. (So) we are preparing, hopefully in the next month or two it can be launched, so please be patient,” Hadis Surya Palapa told Kompas.com when he met at the KAI Expo event at JCC Senayan, Jakarta, on Saturday (09/17/2022).

Currently the panoramic train is still going through the static and dynamic feasibility test phase by the testing team of the railway system of the Railway Test Center.

This takes place in compliance with the Regulations of the Minister of Transport PM n. 15 of 2011 relating to trains that undergo modifications before running, must undergo the first test.

The work in question includes design tests, dimensional tests, light intensity tests, air circulation tests, noise tests, bearing temperature tests and leak tests.
