Indonesian Army’s Training Helicopter Crashes in West Java

Training helicopter fell in the Ciwidey area, Bandung, West Java is called belonging TNI AD.

Kadispenad Hamim Tohari said the BEL 412 helicopter belonging to the Indonesian Army had an accident on Sunday (28/5) at 13.30 WIB.

“The BEL 412 helicopter accident belonging to the Indonesian Army in Bayongbong Village, Patenggang Village, Rancabali District was in support of Yonif 300 R/BJW training,” Hamim said in a written statement.

Hamim confirmed that all of the helicopter crew were safe, however, a number of the crew were injured in collisions and have been evacuated to Dustira Hospital, Cimahi for treatment and care.

“Until now the chronology of events is still under investigation,” he said.

Bandung Police Chief Kombes Kusworo Wibowo confirmed that the training helicopter crashed in the Ciwidey area, Bandung.

“It’s true that a training helicopter crashed in Ciwidey,” said Kusworo when confirmed, Sunday (28/5).

He said all the training helicopter crew were reportedly safe. They also inspected the crash site.

“The information is that all the crew can be saved, saved,” he added.
