The Sensex index, Indian equities opened higher on Asian equity markets today. This was supported by a rally on Wall Street on Monday (Oct 17).
The Sensex index opened today at 58,744.13, up 333.15 or + 0.57%.
Wipro shares were up by 2.17%, Bharti Airtel by 1.57% and UltraTech Cem.
The Dow ended up earning more than 500 points on Bank of America’s better-than-expected earnings and news that the UK government has decided to cancel previously announced tax cuts.
