I cast my vote for Péter Márki-Zay – announced Ildikó Lendvai in ATV’s Straight Talk.
The socialist politician made this decision despite saying that his worldview and political tastes are closer to the left. However, he believes that if the Orbán government wins again in 2022, it will put the country in an extremely disruptive environment.
He argued that he had in mind in his choice who he saw as “a hair’s breadth more chance” to replace the Orbán regime. According to him, he does not see a greater opportunity in Péter Márki-Zay because he would consider his abilities better than Klára Dobrev, and he does not even think that he could bring Fidesz voters. On the other hand, he is convinced that he could keep certain Fidesz voters at home, as it is not possible to hysterize the medium with him.
