Ināra Kolmane’s film “Mother’s milk” will soon be on the cinema screens

Ināra Kolmane outlines the time frame of the film: “The story of the film takes place against a colorful historical background, from the forties to the revival, but the main thing is, of course, the relations between people and the relations with the existing Soviet power,

it is a story about three generations of women, a story about a mother and a daughter, which will allow the viewer to find a resonance with today as well, asking the question of what it means to be a mother, what it means to be a daughter who takes care of her mother, who once abandoned her.

At the same time, it is a story about a woman’s self-realization and the loss of her abilities, breaking due to various circumstances, which I don’t want to reveal at the moment, because I want to let the viewer see and think about it all for himself.”

The film was made as a co-production between Latvia and Belgium, the film studio “DEVIņI” cooperating with the Latvian technology company “Tet” and the Belgian company “UMEDIA”. The film project received financial support from the National Cinema Center, the EU program “Creative Europe MEDIA”, the general sponsor is the store chain “DEPO”.
