Else Kåss Furuseth takes no chances with the millions she earns, but she loses a lot on that.
The popular comedian and host can look back on a very good 2019, financially. Revenues increased from NOK 3.7 million to NOK 5.94 million, operating profit and profit before tax from NOK 2.24 million to NOK 4.2 million.
Furuseth has accumulated solid equity and granted herself a dividend of NOK 1.05 million last year, up from NOK 210,000 in 2018. In addition, she took out a salary of NOK 844,000.
However, she is very careful about how she places the money, everything is put in the bank, despite the record low interest rate level. At the end of last year, Furuseth had a deposit of more than NOK 8.7 million in the bank, an increase of more than NOK 3 million from a year earlier.
The online newspaper has tried to get hold of Else Kåss Furuseth for a comment, without success.
The 40-year-old is known as a stand-up comedian, actor, reporter and presenter. Among other things, she became known as one of the presenters in “Thursday night from Nydalen” and the successful performances “Condolences” and “Congratulations”.
She is currently watching the screens on Saturday’s program “Kåss til kvelds” on NRK.
In the 2000s, Furuseth was the host and employee of several radio programs on NRK P3.
Together with Henrik Thodesen, Odd-Magnus Williamson, Morten Ramm and Sigrid Bonde Tusvik, she was in the period 2002 to 2008 involved in creating and performing the show «Blymandag». It was the precursor to Thursday night from Nydalen.
Open about suicide
In the period 2011–2016, she played her own performance Condolences, where she told about her mother and brother’s suicide. The performance was nominated for a total of four awards during the Comedy Award 2012.
In 2012, Furuseth was awarded the Wenche Foss honorary prize together with the Association “We who have a child too small”.
In 2016, she left TV 2 and started as a presenter in TVNorge. In the autumn of 2018, she was the host of the documentary series «Else», about suicide on TV Norway. For this series, she and the program won two awards during the Golden Route 2019.
For the follow-up series «Else about: children», which was broadcast in 2019, she won the Golden Route 2020 in the class «Program leader – entertainment».
Since 2016, Furuseth has also directed the radio program and podcast “The Kåss Furuseths” with sister Cecilie Ramona Kåss Furuseth.
