Citeo is a private group specializing in the recycling of packaging and paper. A company created at the initiative of the consumer and retail sectors. Citeo offers them reprocessing solutions that aim to reduce the environmental impact of their activities.
The new sorting standards that came into effect on January 1st in the Vosges, allow the collection of all packaging and paper in the yellow bin. From yoghurt pots to trays, including new generation films and plastic bags. “The objective is to allow the sorter to stop thinking, to have no more doubts“explains Frédéric Roux.
In terms of collection and recycling, the Vosges are a leading department. 87 kilos of packaging and paper collected and recycled per inhabitant and per year. Figure to be compared to the national average which is 74 kilos per French annually. “But we can do better“underlines Frédéric Roux, who considers it possible to exceed the 90 kilogram mark before the end of the year. It should also be noted that more than 25% of products from sorting in France are recycled in the Grand-Est region.
