Al-Marsad newspaper: The Saudi national team lost against Mexico by two goals to one in the decisive match which brought together the two teams at the end of the first round of the World Cup at Lusail Stadium, in the presence of more than 80,000 fans.
The Mexico national team’s goals were scored by Henri Martin and Luis Chavez in 47.52 minutes, while Al-Akhdar did not appear effectively in Mexico’s goal for the full 90 minutes, while the Saudi national team’s only goal was scored by Salem Al -Dosari in the fifth minute of added time after being alone in goal.
With this result the Mexican team moved up to fourth point, but failed to qualify on goal difference, as the Polish team excelled in the number of goals.
