The worst situation still prevails in the Svitavy region, yesterday another 17 infected people were added. On the other hand, the number of people infected in the Pardubice region increased yesterday, on the other hand. This is now reported by 171 patients, 32 more than on Tuesday.
There are now a total of 133 patients in the Svitavy region, 83 in the Chrudim region and 48 in the Orlickoústecko region. Yesterday, only 66 new quarantines were issued to hygienists, which is a significant decrease compared to previous days.
Since the beginning of March, a total of 1,054 people have become infected in the region, of which 608 have already recovered and 11 have died.
The epidemic is on the rise in the whole region, the curve is starting to be exponential according to the development of the last week, and the local hygienists are being able to trace everything only with the utmost effort.
“We are here from seeing to seeing, from Monday to Sunday, totally violating the Labor Code. We probably have no choice but to give a collective resignation so that someone can finally realize that we need to strengthen, “said Jana Daňková from the regional hygiene station.
At the same time, however, she rejected criticism that they were already limiting the tracing of contacts due to the onslaught of work. Complaints about this appear in discussions between people and on social networks. “A friend was having coffee with another, who later had a positive test, but the hygienists left her to say that she could continue to go to work, that she was not threatened with the infection,” one woman from Orlickoústecko described with concern, for example.
Similar courts are in favor of hygienists. “Today, every layman is an epidemiologist ‘We have professional procedures to evaluate what is and what is not a risky contact. We do not limit tracing in any way, “said Daňková.
