In the Karviná region, they are afraid of the collapse of health care

Karviná’s representative Zuzana Klusová (Pirates) is worried about the collapse of health care in the region due to the lack of acute beds and doctors.

Hygiene does not catch up, smart quarantine does not work. Lucky that the number of people with a difficult course is not growing

“If positive cases are confirmed among healthcare professionals, patients may need to be treated by doctors and nurses with coronavirus,” she warned, saying they were the main focus, but nothing working as promised by the government.

“Hygiene does not catch up, smart quarantine does not work. We are lucky that the number of people with a difficult course is not growing, “said Klusová.

She does not like the fact that some politicians or hygienists blame the miners and the inhabitants of Karviná. “The situation was caused by ignoring the risks in OKD. The miners see it as leaving them here, “she said.

“While firefighters, police officers and paramedics received extraordinary rewards for deployment during the coronavirus, the miners worked in a risky and emergency environment and are now at home for 60 percent of their salary, in Poland they received 100 percent! Those who infected their wife are almost half the income of the household and do not know what will happen next, “Klusová added.

Representative Karviná is not surprised that people are running out of patience. “The dismantling was ordered by the government on the recommendation of hygienists, so spreading outside the mines could be clearly assumed. Unfortunately, now the whole region pays for it, and especially the elderly and the long-term sick, “added Klusová.

The mayor of Havířov, Josef Bělica (YES), believes that smart quarantine and tracing work. “Restrictions and regulations begin and end for each of us. If individuals do not intend to comply with them, they endanger the rest. And that’s the problem, “he announced.

Bleach does not hide that errors have occurred. “I would not throw individual mistakes at the system and at some general errors. If it is found that there has been a mistake on the part of some specific companies, then the state authorities must act as required by law, “he told Práva, adding that if it is proven that OKD also failed, they must also bear the responsibility.

“I was not a supporter of the end of the state of emergency, I solved partial problems. Now it turns out that we can’t solve something in the given localities outside the emergency, we can’t, “said the mayor.

Stricter measures apply not only to the Karviná region, but also to the Frýdek-Místek region, although there is no longer an active shaft in the district. “A lot of people work in the mines in the Karviná region, but they live with us.

Extended operation of consumption points

The district mainly affects Třinecko, where there are 70 patients, in our country it was 19 in Frýdek-Místek. So even if it is fine in our country, we have to follow what is meant for those where the situation is worse, “said the mayor Frýdek-Místek Michal Pobucký (CSSD).

“Widespread measures across the district prove that smart quarantine does not work in practice. If it worked, the measures would be implemented only where there are local outbreaks, and not for the entire Karviná region, “pointed out Petr Vícha (ČSSD), the mayor of Bohumín, where there are only seven infected. “I am curious whether the government also counts on area compensation for the Karviná and Frýdek-Místek regions, when it significantly limits our lives and business in our country,” he added.

Due to the increased need for testing, the Moravian-Silesian Region decided to expand the operation of sampling points. They will also work on an extended weekend, in selected hospitals and for self-payers. These are hospitals in Frýdek-Místek, Havířov, Karviná-Ráj and in Třinec.

Another 131 positives were recorded on Wednesday by hygienists in the Moravian-Silesian Region. Of these, 102 are in the Karviná district, 16 in the Frýdek-Místek district and 13 in the Ostrava region. The high proportion of newly infected is related to area testing at the ČSM-Sever and ČSM-Jih mines.
