KOMPAS.TV – The winner of the beauty contest Mrs Sri Lanka 2021 suffered a head injury after a showdown on stage shortly after she was crowned champion.
Pushpika De Silva initially smiled happily when his name was announced as the winner of this event.
But not long after, Caroline Jurie as the winner of Mrs Sri Lanka 2019 came to the stage and took off the crown that De Silva was wearing.
Jurie told the audience that the beauty pageant rules required the participants to be married and not divorced.
According to Jurie, De Silva should not be declared the winner because he was divorced. Jurie then put the crown of champion to the runners-up.
Not accepting the treatment, Pushpika De Silva cried and got off the stage.
