In Plouider, Mathieu Gencey takes over the family business – Plouider

After 46 years as an electrician, plumber, heating technician and installer in the town of Plouider since 1997, Daniel Gencey retires and leaves the keys of the company to his son Mathieu. “I started when I was 16,” recalls the craftsman. During these twenty-five years at Plouider, he has built a loyal clientele. “My first client here in 1997 was my first unpaid bill! he jokes, even if at the time it didn’t make him laugh at all… Mathieu, meanwhile, joined the company 16 years ago after a CAP-BEP in electricity and a Bac Pro maintenance.

At 38, he is happy to take over from his father: “For me it’s another job, with all the administrative aspects”.

Surrounded by six employees, he can count on the help of Daniel, always ready to lend a hand in case of need. “He comes every morning for coffee! “, he laughs. The book of the Gencey company therefore continues to be written and, today, offers a wide range of plumbing, heating, electrical, turnkey bathrooms and renewable energies.
