Second match point for Piazza Affari, which closes the last session before the Christmas holiday, with a convincing rise. The Milan Stock Exchange got off to a good start, and then held positions for the rest of the morning.
Something changed in the early afternoon. When it was approaching the time to pull the oars into the boat in view of closure, the gear change arrived. The Milan Stock Exchange has taken off.
A sudden awakening, which led the Ftse Mib index to break through the threshold of 22 thousand points. At the end of the session, the major index of Piazza Affari closed up by 1.3% to 22,130 points.
The realistic hypothesis for the next sessions
It is important to underline that two particular elements have emerged in Piazza Affari that can change the face at the next sessions of the Milanese list.
The first, relevant aspect is that today the Ftse Mib (INDEX:FTSEMIB), marked a higher high than that of Friday 18 December. Prices reached 22.155 points, stopping close to the resistance area at 22.150 / 22.200 points.
This element authorizes us to make a realistic hypothesis. In the next session, that of Monday, prices can go above 22,200 points and close close to the highs of the last six months. And then, perhaps, even going beyond 22,400 points.
The spoilsport gap and the best scenario
However, there is another aspect that must be taken into consideration. And it is that of the gap that prices have opened with today’s session. We know that all the gaps, sooner or later, will be closed. When will this close?
The right moment could be found in the next three sessions, in particular that of Monday. It could happen that prices push higher, leaving, momentarily, the gap between the high of Tuesday and the low of today.
On Monday, the Ftse Mib could have an opening below 22,000 points, followed by a quick drop down to 21,850 points. At that point, once the gap is closed, prices could explode to the upside. It would be the best scenario.
