IDR 20 T Jumbo IPO Fundraising, Mitratel Called by DPR RI

Jakarta, CNBC Indonesia – Commission VI of the DPR RI summoned the management of PT Dayamitra Telekomunikasi alias Mitratel, to provide an explanation of the company regarding the corporate action of an initial public offering (IPO) that is being carried out on the Indonesia Stock Exchange (IDX).

This is because the company is a subsidiary of BUMN, PT Telkom Indonesia Tbk (TLKM).

Chairman of the Commission VI Hearing Meeting of the House of Representatives, Mohamad Hekal, said that this hearing (RDP) was conducted in line with the company’s IPO plan, considering that the company is in line with the company’s target of becoming a market leader in this industry.

“The Ministry of SOEs in the near future has plans to conduct IPOs for several subsidiaries, one of which is Telkom’s subsidiary, Mitratel, which is engaged in providing telecommunications infrastructure,” Hekal said at the opening of his meeting, Wednesday (10/11/2021).

“Currently Mitratel manages more than 28 thousand telecommunication towers, the advantage of using the Telkom Group’s optical fiber that is not owned by any telecommunication tower company,” he explained.

Considering that the IPO plan is a very large strategic step with a target fund of up to a maximum of IDR 25 trillion (assuming an initial price), the DPR asked the company to provide an explanation regarding this matter.

To note, Mitratel’s share offering price has been set at Rp 800/share. This determination was made after an initial offer (book building) was made on 26 October-4 November 2021.

Thus, by releasing 25,540,000,000 shares or a maximum of 29.85% of the company’s issued and paid-up capital after the public offering, the company will get funds worth Rp 20.43 trillion.

The company cooperates with PT BRI Danareksa Sekuritas and PT Mandiri Sekuritas as underwriters for the issuance of securities from this IPO. In addition, there are HSBC, JP Morgan, and Morgan Stanley as joint global coordinators.
