Pushilin and Pasechnik ask the Russian president to recognize the “independence” of the self-proclaimed “republics”.
The heads of the self-proclaimed “DNR” and “LNR” on Monday, February 21, appealed to Russian President Vladimir Putin with a request to recognize the “republics”.
Also, the heads of the “DPR” Denis Pushilin and the “LPR” Leonid Pasechnik are asked to provide for the possibility of interaction in the defense sphere in the cooperation agreement between Russia and the “republics”.
Recall that last week the State Duma of Russia adopted a resolution about sending an appeal to the President of the country for the recognition of the self-proclaimed “DNR” and “LNR”.
The Ukrainian Foreign Ministry said that such a move by Moscow would mean Russia’s withdrawal from the Minsk agreements. In addition, the Verkhovna Rada adopted a resolution on appeal to world organizations on non-recognition of the independence of the self-proclaimed entities in the temporarily occupied territories of the Donetsk and Luhansk regions.
