In Petropavlovsk-Kamchatsky there are not enough places in the chambers of the AIDS Center for patients with coronavirus. Patients are placed in the corridor. The regional government says that this is a full-time scenario.

As it became known to the news agency, patients with coronavirus in the AIDS Center are placed in the corridor. There are no more places in the wards. In order to clarify the situation, the Kam 24 news agency sent a request to the regional government. The deputy chairman answered him Roman Vasilevsky.

“Now the AIDS Center has indeed several patients placed in the hospital corridor. At night there was a rather large influx of people with suspected COVID. They are placed in the corridor in compliance with all sanitary standards. This is a full-time scenario. During the day they will be transferred to prepared wards; at the moment, additional equipment is being carried out in the 1st city hospital, immediately for 30 beds. With the prospect of an operational increase of 100 beds, ”said the deputy chairman.

Meanwhile, patients at the AIDS Center say that they are placing people in the corridor for at least the second day. Patients, of course, pay attention to discomfort, but note the dedicated work of doctors who are on duty around the clock in the hospital. According to patients, they receive therapy in full.

In Kamchatka Krai according to April 22, the diagnosis of coronavirus was officially confirmed in 63 patients.
