IMSS Tamaulipas reactivates its ordinary services – El Sol de Tampico

The Mexican Institute of Social Security (IMSS) in Tamaulipas will participate in the Eleventh National Day for the Recovery of Ordinary Services that will take place from November 12 to 14.

The IMSS informed that family medicine consultations, specialty and screenings for diabetes and hypertension will be carried out; meanwhile, in the General Zone Hospitals (HGZ) and General Regional Hospitals (HGR), surgeries and breast cancer detections by mammography are scheduled.

DUE TO COVID-19, SERVICES WERE REDUCED

Medical services were reduced due to the health emergency due to Covid-19 in its first and second level medical units.

The holder of the IMSS in Tamaulipas, Elia Patricia Silva Delfín, reported that the main objective of this conference is to provide the right holders with family medicine consultations, specialty, detection of chronic-degenerative diseases such as diabetes mellitus and surgeries that accelerate the recovery of medical care.

The activities are part of the strategy “120 Days for a single IMSS”, with which the IMSS It has managed to significantly reduce the lag caused by the pandemic.

Health personnel from various categories of the institute will participate: surgeons, gynecologists, traumatologists, nurses, orderlies, medical assistants, as well as hygiene and cleaning personnel, among other doctors from different specialties,” he announced.

ASK TO FOLLOW PREVENTIVE MEASURES

This institute pointed out that it is important that attendees follow hygiene measures, such as the mandatory and correct use of face masks, covering nose and mouth, applying 70% alcohol gel upon entry and maintaining a healthy distance of 1.5 meters.

The IMSS in Tamaulipas invites the eligible population to go to their medical units in case of pending consultations and surgeries, these care are carried out under strict safety and hygiene protocols to avoid contagion of Covid-19.
