An auction of works of art, art-objects and jewelry will be held at the Querétaro Art Museum (MAQRO) for the benefit of the Breast Cancer Foundation, AC (FUCAM), which offers detection, treatment and eradication of this disease.
The auction will take place on May 13 and is promoted by the clinical psychologist, Martha Beatriz Kuri González.
“In the Ministry of Culture we are convinced that art is an opportunity to say things that transcend; it is to show solidarity with causes like these that allow society to be involved in this process, not only creative, but also inspiring to continue seeking the common good”, pointed out the owner Herbert Pesquera.

Likewise, Martha Beatriz Kuri González affirmed that timely diagnosis is the most important, hence the invitation for women to have their periodic check-up, mentioning that, if a cancer is detected early, the five-year survival rate it can be up to 97%.
“We are very pleased that through art we can help more women to prevent this disease and not wait until it is too late, sometimes we think that it will not happen to me but today the statistics show us the opposite, hence the importance of joining alliances to prevent, treat and eradicate breast cancer”he underlined.
How will the auction help?
The director of the Querétaro Art Museum, Antonio Arelle Barquet, explained that all proceeds from the auction will go to the acquisition of a mobile unit equipped to carry out screening mammography studies for the timely detection of breast cancer in the 18 municipalities. of the state.
It is worth mentioning that for this event, donations were received from 62 artists, including those from Queretaro: Luis Selem, Cristopher Orozco, Cirenia Orozco, David Orozco, Ramón Orozco, Antonio Orozco, Alberto Cardenas Bribiesca, Carla Delgado, Renato Escaldón, Santiago Pani , Silvia Elena Diaz de Leon and Leticia Valenzuela.
