Improved connections, clear orientation – timetable change and new line number system

The new annual timetable will come into force on Sunday, December 13th – on several routes in the agilis network Mitte with improved connections and transfer times. In addition, the Bayerische Eisenbahngesellschaft (BEG) is introducing uniform line designations throughout Bavaria.

Regensburg. The new line number designations of the BEG, which plans, finances and controls local rail passenger transport in Bavaria, will be introduced at the time of the timetable change in order to present the variety of offers in the Bavarian state more clearly. They follow an easy-to-understand system and give passengers clear orientation. Regardless of the operator, they are composed of a product name (RE, RB, S) and a maximum two-digit number, for example RB 15. Passengers can find more information on the new line number system on the Internet at www.agilis.de.

There will be changes in the timetable from 13 December in the Mitte network for both the Neumarkt – Plattling (RB 51) and the Ulm – Regensburg – Plattling (RB 15 and RB 17) lines.
