Energy supplier Badenova has been supporting innovative projects in the Freiburg region for 20 years – a total of twelve this year.
. They all have something to do with environmental and climate protection. Otherwise, however, the projects that the Badenova’s innovation fund has been promoting for 20 years now are very different. Badenova has already supported more than 300 inventors and thought leaders, a total of 30 million euros flowed into the projects and triggered follow-up investments in the three-digit million range. This year twelve applications were considered – three of them are presented here by the BZ as an example.
The innovation fund
But not only successful projects are important for innovations, emphasizes Richard Tuth from the Badenova innovation team: failed ideas also provide impetus for environmental and climate protection – if one approach does not work, a new one has to be found. The fund projects are obliged to document their developments.
