Bari, an infant abandoned in the cradle outside the church

A newborn baby was abandoned on Sunday morning in front of the church of San Giovanni Battista in the Poggiofranco district of Bari. The parish priest Don Antonio Ruccia made the discovery. The baby was left inside the thermal cradle installed by the priest to accommodate those newborn babies that the natural parents decide not to keep. Next to the newborn there was also a note, probably left by the parents, with indications on the name to give to the little one: Luigi. «Mom and Dad will love you forever», the text of the message. The child was brought from 118, alerted by the parish priest, to the Neonatology ward of the Bari Polyclinic. His condition is good.
