An abundant load of snow is coming to the AlpsA lot of snow is coming. This is the confirmation which has just arrived since the last update of ours Official APP: the arrival of another unstable front, always linked to Poppea cyclone which is currently located near the British Isles, together with a thermal drop, it will give life to important snowfalls in the next few hours, up to lower and lower altitudes.
In conclusion, a heavy snow load is imminent also on several important ski resorts.

Let’s take stock of the situation to better understand theexpected evolution, or where the snow will fall more intensely and where the accumulate greater in what will result in all respects a first winter advance.

After the phenomena that have affected a large part of the Alps in recent days, with flakes in some cases up to under 1500 meters, the real heavy load is expected in the next few hours, at least until Thursday 4th November due to a new disturbance sent by cyclone Poppea which has already made its entrance to the Northwest and which will give life to aintense phase of bad weather.

According to the latest updates, the irruption of further cold air from Northern Europe will cause the freezing point to collapse with flakes that will drop down to 1000/1200 meters of altitude, especially on Western Piedmont, Lombardy (Orobie, Valtellina and Valcamonica) and on all Dolomiti, with the name which could whiten places like Madesimo (SO), Livigno (SO), Madonna of Campiglio (TN), solder (BZ) e cortina d’Ampezzo (BL).
We are expecting by the end of the event on the main locations of the central-eastern Alps at least 5/10 cm of fresh snow above 1000 meters of altitude. Over 2000 meters, on the other hand, the snow will fall much more abundantly, with accumulations that could reach up to half a meter of fresh mantle.
The “white lady” will also be seen on Central-northern Apennines, but only above 1800/1900 meters, whitening the main peaks of Umbria, Lazio e Abruzzo.
