Istanbul Metropolitan Municipality (IMM) President Ekrem Imamoglu made his 31st district municipality visit to Beykoz.
He met with Beykoz Mayor Murat Aydın in his office.
Following the speeches, İBB and Beykoz Municipality teams moved to the presentation hall where the problems of the district will be addressed.
After the presentation, which lasted about 2 hours, İmamoğlu and Aydın made investigations in the construction site where the coastal arrangements are continuing opposite the city hall.
MEET WITH CHILDREN
After the examinations, İmamoğlu went to Akbaba Village and visited İsmail Özseçkin Primary and Secondary School. İmamoğlu met with 20 elementary school students who created an idea within the scope of the project, which was launched in the memory of the 100th anniversary of April 23, National Sovereignty and Children’s Day, under the title “Istanbul’s children are designing their parks” and which was developed to make Istanbul “the city of children”.

“WHAT YOU WANT, WE WILL MAKE THAT PARK”
Addressing the children, “Whatever you want, we will build that park,” Imamoglu listened to the designs of the little students one by one.
İmamoğlu, who found the ideas of children such as first aid cabinet and wigwam interesting, said:
* The idea of involving children in the process is very nice. I am very happy.
* I hope this air spreads to many schools, not only in the sense of parking, but in many subjects…
* When I was the first mayor, I visited a school in my district in 2014. It was first class.
* I never forget. ‘Children, what do you want in our district. What should I do? “I asked.
* There were 20-25 children like that. Whatever they said, I did it.
* I saw that the idea that the children gave to me very well describes the needs of Beylikdüzü.
* They have souls with very pure, clean feelings, who consider social interest, not individual.
I hope they always grow up like that.
* I would like to thank my friends for this project that supports participation.
İmamoğlu’s last stop in Beykoz, in Öğüm by neighborhood, was Turkey’s largest and best-equipped glass-art center incorporating the Glass Furnace Foundation.
Imamoglu, his staff; As IMM, he instructed the foundation to work on activities that can be held in the public sphere.
