They are sitting on their beds, the inhabitants of Tussen Meer in Osdorp when three loud knocks are heard on July 16th. It turns out to be a hoot. In Office 020 this week the images of the incident, showing bangs and suspects.
The two suspects arrive in the early morning of July 16 on a BMW scooter. They take a bag off their scooter and take out some stuff. One of them then does something at the ATM.
A few moments later, a first loud bang follows. The two run towards the car, and just after one of them flees from there, a second large explosion follows. And a little later, bang number three follows. Shortly after, the two get back on the scooter. In the interest of the investigation, the police do not want to make any statements about possible loot.
“The damage to the car and the impact on the neighborhood is logically enormous in an explosion like this,” says Anneke de Vries of the Amsterdam police. “So we would like to know who the suspects are in the pictures.”
Suspect limping
And those suspects could be recognized by several things. For example, the dark BMW scooter, which had a stolen license plate. Then something else strikes: one of the suspects limps away after the last shot. The previous images show how the ankle is twisted. With the same suspicion, his white sneakers with orange or red details also stand out. And for a moment you can also see the eyes of that suspect.
“Any information on the suspects, one of whom may have limped after the crash, is welcome,” says De Vries. This also applies to information about the stolen license plate scooter or other thud tips.
