Latvian women’s national team defender Ilze Jākobsone has agreed on an agreement with the Turkish Premier League unit of Istanbul “Besiktas”, the club said in a statement on Thursday.

The player made his debut in the Latvian national team on May 24, 2016 in Riga against Belarus. She has represented the team in two European Championship finals (2017, 2019), scoring 81 points in 28 games. She has twice become the champion of Latvia (2012, 2014).
