Illegal Abortion Clinic Uncovered in Jakarta, Fetus Destroyed with HCL

Police uncover practices abortion in an illegal clinic in housing in Pondok Kelapa, Duren Sawit, East Jakarta. Baby fetus divakum then destroyed with dilute HCL.

Head of Criminal Investigation Unit of the East Jakarta Metro Police, AKBP Dhimas Prasetyo, said that the suspects viciously dissolved the fetuses for abortion.

“After vacuuming the fetus–we find it difficult to find a fetus that has aborted–the way they dissolved the fetus was quite clever and heinous. The fetus has come out, regardless of its age, thrown away,” Dhimas said, quoted Saturday (20/5/2023).

Then the fetus was placed in a plastic bucket by the suspect. They put the fetus in a plastic bucket to dissolve it.

“Never mind meat or human bodies, iron is also destroyed by HCl. Hit by HCl, the baby’s body decomposes in HCl, thrown into the toilet,” he said.

Then the customer pays some money after practice. After that, the customer controls one to two times to be given the drug.

“The evidence is that the drugs contain sedatives, they can be illegal, later we will investigate how to get them. All hard drugs can also be illegal. HCl is also illegal, how come you can get these drugs. They know each other through work, some are relatives, ” he explained.

Special Requirements for Illegal Abortion

Previously, the police revealed that there were special requirements for patients who would have an abortion at an illegal clinic in the Billy & Moon Complex, Pondok Kelapa Village, Duren Sawit District, East Jakarta. One of them, patients may not be accompanied by men.

“There are special requirements for patients who are having abortions, they cannot be accompanied by men. They have anticipated that only women and a maximum of 2 to 3 people,” said Head of Criminal Investigation Unit of the East Jakarta Metro Police, AKBP Dhimas Prasetyo, Saturday (20/5 /2023).

Dhimas said that later the patient would be directed to the hospital himself. But in the end, the patient was taken to the place where the illegal abortion was practiced.

“The average patient per day is 3 to 4 people, even once a day 8 people,” he said.
