He stressed that Britain must understand how the world has changed.
“The forces shaping him – the warmonger in the Kremlin (Putin – ed.) – a more aggressive China, Islamist extremism poisoning the minds of young people – these things will not disappear overnight. There is no point in hoping for a magical return of the world to its previous state,” – stated the minister.
He added that hope is not politics.
“If Putin is not stopped in Ukraine, he will come back for more. And we know from our history that appeasing dictators ultimately destroys British interests and costs British lives,” Cameron said.
Help from Britain
Earlier, British Defense Minister Grant Shapps said that London would provide Ukraine with more military assistance and unite allies to give everything necessary to win the war.
Shapps also announced a new package of military assistance to Ukraine at the Ramstein meeting in early October. The package is valued at $123 million.
In addition, the General Staff of the Ukrainian Armed Forces reported that in Britain a real village was turned into a training ground for the Ukrainian military. This will allow you to gain experience in combat operations in urban environments.
