According to Piprim, the claim about the temporary withdrawal of liquid paracetamol is not true.

Her sister, who didn’t take any medicine, contracted AKI and she is dead, ”Piprim said at an online press conference on Tuesday (10/18/2022).

“That’s why we can’t say it’s because of the paracetamol syrup, not necessarily. So let’s close carefully. Even if I call it early warning, it can’t be construed as forbidden,” he continued.

Piprim also confirmed that the cause of acute kidney disease has not been found so far.

“When it comes to the cause, there are still several theories, right. There is a MISC, there is also the suspicion of drugs containing ethylene glycol. We are also investigating this.”

That is, until now it has not been conclusive or a single cause of acute kidney disease cannot be concluded. It cannot be said that the cause is cough medicine paracetamol syrup, he said.
