Ice Hockey – Golden Knights equalize against Montreal – Sport

Montreal (AP) – The Vegas Golden Knights have equalized in the NHL playoff series against the Montreal Canadiens to 2-2.

The favorite won 2-1 away after extra time on Sunday (local time) and thus kept every chance of making it to the final of the Stanley Cup. Paul Bryon had shot the Canadiens in the lead in the second period, Brayden McNabb equalized in the middle of the last period. Nicolas Roy put the puck in Carey Price’s goal a second time after 1:18 minutes in overtime and secured the important win for Las Vegas.

The fifth duel between the two teams is on Wednesday night in the gambling metropolis. A team needs four wins to advance.

The Canadiens were again looked after by assistant coach Luke Richardson because head coach Dominique Ducharme has tested positive for the corona virus and is in quarantine. It is unclear when he will be allowed to work with the team again. Before the game it was also announced that Golden Knights General Manager Kelly McCrimmon had a positive test and had to be in isolation.
