Al-Marsad newspaper: a Kuwaiti citizen went to court in place of her son, wanted in a drug abuse case.
According to the Kuwaiti newspaper “Al-Qabas”, the Kuwaiti town burst into tears because of the fear of her son’s presence and confinement.
The Kuwaiti mother stood on the court podium during the call for the name of her son, accused in the drug abuse case, saying, “I am his mother and I take care of her!”
The court explained to the mother that this is not lawful and that the law requires the presence of the defendant himself.
The mother cried, saying, “I raised him with the best upbringing, and I was originally an educator and served Kuwait. Why do you want me to come? I won’t answer him to imprison him!”
And he went on: “The bad fellows dragged him into abuse, and my son grew up, and I, or how can I bear my son weaves?”
The court indicated that her son needed to be tried until proper legal procedures took place, so she calmed down after wiping her tears and left the courtroom to take her son to the next session.
