In the state of Utah (USA), a man has been charged with aggravated homicide, for allegedly killing his mother and then dance with her younger sister next to the corpse of the mother, they report local media.
According to police reports, the suspect, identified as Mike López, 23, killed his mother, Victoria Ramírez, 43. The incident occurred on December 23 at the house where they lived, located in the city of Springville.
When the family was getting ready for dinner, the young man entered the dining room armed with a shotgun, where his mother and two sisters, aged 14 and 17, were. Then he looked at the youngest of them, who nodded and ran to hide in a bathroom, while the oldest hid behind a door and witnessed the scene.
“I know you’re going to kill me and I love you,” were the last words the woman said before her son pulled the trigger. The shot struck the victim in the neck, who died almost instantly.

Court reports indicate that, shortly after, the 14-year-old girl advanced to her mother’s body and stroked her hair, until López took her arm and together they began to dance.
The 17-year-old sister managed to escape through a window and contacted a relative who notified the police. When officers arrived at the home, they found López apparently unconscious, but when they took him to a hospital they realized he was faking.
The young man was arrested and the tests carried out revealed the presence of THC, the main compound in marijuana, in their body. It is unknown if he suffered from mental problems. Meanwhile, the youngest of the brothers assured, during her interrogation, that the murdered woman was not her mother and she limited herself to smiling when asked why she had danced with her brother.
López was charged with homicide, domestic violence in the presence of minors and use of weapons without permission, among other crimes. The suspect is believed to have purchased the shotgun and pistol a day before the incident.
