Austria got a shock on Sunday. Instead of the usual announcements during the train ride, speeches and statements from Adolf Hitler were played.

It writes BBC.

In addition to the speech, sound was also played in which a group of people could be heard shouting “Heil Hitler” and “Sieg Heil”.

According to a passenger on the train, everyone on board was shaken by what they heard.

The Austrian train operator OEBB says that there have been several such cases in recent days.

Couldn’t stop

Austrian Railways says in a statement that it has reported the incident to the police. Illustration photo.

David Stoegmueller, who was on the train, said the speech to the Nazi German leader was played over the train’s intercom shortly before it arrived in Vienna.

– We heard two cases, First there was 30 seconds of a Hitler speech, and then I heard “Sieg Heil”, Stoegmueller told

According to Stoegmueller, the train staff were unable to stop the recording and could not make their own announcements either.

In a statement, Austrian Railways says that it clearly distances itself from the content and that the matter has been reported to the police.

Cry

Stoegmueller said he had received an email from a man who was on the train with an old lady who had survived the concentration camps. “She was crying,” he said.

He went on to say that another passenger noted that when trains in other countries had technical problems, it meant the air conditioning was out of order.

– In Austria, the technical problem is Hitler, the man is said to have said.

Hitler was born in Austria but emigrated to Germany in 1913 at a young age.
